Actors from the London Stage - Patrick is a
founding director of "Actors from the London Stage" (formerly ACTER). From its inception, Actors From The London Stage has had an idealistic goal: to change the way Shakespeare is taught in the U.S. Students in literature classes rarely read Shakespeare out loud or consider the text as a working script for actors. By bringing talented, articulate actors into the humanities classroom to do scene work with students or to show them how they, as actors, approach a literary text, Actors From The London Stage hopes to forge a stronger alliance between the theatre and the academy and to develop an enthusiasm for Shakespeare in performance.
