Patrick Stewart's one-man performance of this classic tale is a tour-de-force of stage acting. He has performed the play for many years (1991, 1992, 1994 in NYC and 1996 in LA) in various locations throughout the U.S. and in London (1993), and received critical acclaim when it opened on Broadway.

Among his awards for this one-man show: Drama Desk Award for Best Solo Performance (1992) and Lawrence Olivier Award for Best Entertainment for Solo Performance (1994). He was also nominated for an Olivier for Best Actor in 1994.
